After the formation of United Nations in the aftermath of World War II, the issue of human rights has acquired a prominent place in the eyes of world governments. The rights of children, labour, women, prisoners has been identified and the U.N. has sponsored many studies on human rights. The identification and Human Rights has become a subject of keen interest in the World.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Shweta Mehra
Shweta Mehra is at present teaching in a prestigious college of the university of Delhi. She did her M.A. with very high marks and was consequently selected as a lecturer in Miranda House. She has been working with many social organizations and has worked for non-governmental organizations especially for women’s organizations.
