Since the United Nations charter in 1945, lifted the question of Human Rights from the exclusive domain of the state to a subject of international concern, ‘Human Rights’ the very word has become a buzz word of common parlance. In the wake of adoption of Universal Declaration of Human rights (UDHR) it has become the focal point of all conversations policies and programmes at the individual, societal, national and international levels. The present book tries to look into the question of Human Rights from the perspective of human right as a precondition for survival of civilization.
