The supply of water effluent through rivers has some repercussions on health effects as well as affects land productivity. Crop production suffers from using contaminated irrigation water form both surface sources and from ground water aquifers. The book is an outcome of an empirical study on "An Economic Study on the Impact of Effluents on Agricultural Land…." The study has made an in-depth attempt to assess socio-economic impact on the farming as well the rural communities due to the impact of effluent water. The finding at the grass-root level will help the researchers, policy makers and for devising certain strategies for the sustained growth and the derivative benefits to the agricultural and the rural economy. Besides the study helps the Pollution Control Board (PCB) to go for appropriate effluent treatment through waste management techniques and resources to treat industrial effluents.
