ABOUT THE AUTHOR S.Y. Kulkarni
Dr. S.Y. Kulkarni was born on 28 September 1941 to an agriculturist family in Aurangabad district of Maharashtra. His childhood environment has affected his life to the extent that, being academically brilliant, he pursued the discipline of agriculture at the B.Sc. and M.Sc. levels before completing a Ph.D. in the subject. Among the various posts that Dr. Kulkarni has occupied are Asst. Professor and Reader in Maharashtra Colleges of Agriculture, Principal of the G.T.C. and Deputy Registrar at two Agricultural Universities in Maharashtra. Dr. Kulkarni was also selected as a fellow at the I.A.R.I. New Delhi and has been to the U.K. and France under the Colombo Plan for training in Agricultural Extension. Dr. Kulkarani's teaching work has included guiding of M.Sc. and Ph.D. students. ICSSR consultant is Dr. M. Mukhopadhaya.
