The present Research Volume on India and the ASEAN has been produced by leading experts in the field of Asian economic studies. Shri Prakash is currently Professor, Academy of Third World Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia. He completed his M.Phil. at. JNU and Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge. He has worked on various peace and development issues concerning Third World countries. He has edited a number of books, the most recent of which are Towards Understanding the Kashmir Crrisis, and insights into Indian Polity, 1971-1994 (2 vols.); he has also published numerous papers in international journals and in various books on a range of contemporary issues.
