India and China are the two ancient civilizations of the world, having a "similar" glorious past and problems in their process of development. It was the last decade of the twentieth century in which both the Asian giants i.e. India and China caught an attention of the world community owing to positive results in their reforms. This work takes an account of development, which is an outcome from their economic reforms programme. Dr. Sali focuses on origin of conflict, issues and changing nature of their bilateral relations, from ancient period to onwards. The author, while dealing with the changing nature of Sino-Indian relationship, has tried to analyse the strategic and tactical scenario of India-China Border area along with prevarication policy of China.
This work deals with the comparative aspects of an economic and military power of India and China. Though these two Asian giants are on the path of emerging as the Major Asian Powers, nevertheless their success will depend upon how they overcome their internal challenges. Whatever may be the hazard but it is an accepted and established fact that India and China are the two emerging major powers in global arena.
