Intellectual property management encompasses creation, protection and exploitation of Intellectual Property Rights. Patents play a critical role in research and development of intensive industries. Patent rights are known to provide significant benefits as they can be sold or licensed and form foundation for making, using and selling industry leading products, processes and services. In order to obtain valid patent rights, however, basic knowledge of certain critical issues is considered essential among stakeholders.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Ram Pratap Singh
Dr. Ram Pratap Singh is currently working as Assistant Professor in Department of Botany, Govt. P.G. College, Morena (MP). Earlier, he served as Lecturer in Department of Botany, Institute of Basic Sciences, Bundelkhand University, Jhansi (UP). He obtained his M.Sc. and Ph.D degree from School of Studies in Botany, Jiwaji University, Gwalior (MP). He was also awarded NET-JRF by (UGC-CSIR) in 2001.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Vinayak Singh Tomar
Dr. Vinayak Singh Tomar did his post graduation in Zoology from Govt. Autonomous (Model) Science College, Gwalior (MP) and in Education from Govt. P.G. College of Education, Gwalior (M.P.). He completed his Ph.D. from Dr B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra. Dr. Tomar has been teaching graduate and post graduate classes for last 15th years.
Presently, he is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology, Govt. P. G. College of Excellence, Morena (MP).
