The Book consists of research paper on the broad area of "International Economic Relations", written over the past five years. Geo-economics is increasingly becoming the determining factor in international relations. A coalition approach to the management of international power relations is the leitmotif of twenty-first century international diplomacy. The book by Dr. Gautam Murthy is a timely addition to the literature on the importance of international economics relations. It covers a wide spectrum, including important contributions like "Sino-Indian Economic Partnership", India-ASEAN – Civilizational Ties and New Economic Partnership", "New Synergies in Indo-Australian Relations", "W.T.O. and India", and "Islamabad Summit and the SAARC process". The papers are well researched, and should be useful to both academics, as well as foreign policy practioners, as an academic input to policy making.
