ABOUT THE AUTHOR A.B. Menan

A.B. Menan is Professor of Biology in the Department of Molecular, Cellular, & Developmental Biology at the University of California, Santa Cruz.  He earned a B.A. at the University of of Utah, Salt Lake City and a Ph.D. (Botany) at the University of California, Berkeley.  Dr. Menan has served in an editorial capacity for the journals Plant Anatomy, Plant Physiology, Plant Pathology, Plant Diseases, Plant Physiology and Biochemistry.  His research interests have included Cell walls and Cell expansion, Plant metal tolerance, Auxin transport, Stomatal regulation, and the history of botany.
