Islamic Methodology in History

This book gives in outline the historical evolution of the four basic principles of Islamic thought namely the Qur’an Sunnah. Ijtihad and Ima. Its major values lies in the clarifications it has made on the meaning of the Sunnah Far from the tendency to reject out of hand all that has happened since the original impulse of Islam in the life of the Prophet. It seeks to project what muslims of various regions and times and sects have made of that historical guidetime.
