The book in hand contains an analysis of Islamic resurgence in Egypt specially in post-Ikhwan period-an area not generally examined by the writers in the discipline. The author evaluates the roots of Islamism in general and of political/constitutional Islamic movement in the country in particular, and describes the various offshoots of the present phenomenon-moderate and extremist, democratic and militant, rational and obscurantist-in Islamic perspective. Both the Jihadist and non-Jihadist version of Islamism are well elaborated in the present work.
