Jeevani is a book on ayurveda which focuses on women and their reproductive health. It introduces some of the basic tenets of ayurveda. Once women grasp the basic tenets of ayurveda, they can help themselves and their families maintain good health. Relying on ayurveda, women can actively take charge of their health and the health of the family and not passively hand over their health to so-called experts.
In this book the role of food in maintaining health as well as causing diseases, is emphasized throughout. The book tries to illustrate how ayurveda gives a thorough understanding of human beings, nature and the relationship between them; and how this understanding helps in ensuring a healthy way of life.
