Fareeduddin, Ph D from Mysore University, is serving in Geological Survey of India since twenty five years. He has expertise in geological mapping, mineral exploration andPetrology. He has worked in different parts of India and his current research interest includes(i) Proterozoic fold belts and (ii) kimberlites and related rocks. He has published about 40 research papers in peer reviewed national and international journals. He is the recipient of National Mineral award and B.P Radhakrishan Prize. He has served the Geological Society of India as its Secretary, Editor of its Journal and currently serving as its Council Member.
