Kubera: Origin and Development

The book entitled "Kubera: Origin and Development" traces the origin of the concept of Kubera and in its different chapters the development of the idea of Kubera as the God of wealth, Lord of the Yaksas and the guardian of the northern direction is indicated on textual evidence. The book studies the deity in his different aspects and exposes the personality of Kubera in all the spheres of his activity or in his contribution to the well being of the people. This is for the first time that a study on Kubera has been prepared. It is certainly an interesting work in the study of mythology and religion where we see a somewhat obscure Godhead with a clearer outline.
