ABOUT THE AUTHOR P. Chellapandi

P. Chellapandi received his B.Sc. degree in Chemistry (1997) and M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology (1999) from Madurai Kamraj University. He is pursuing Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. He started his independent career as Lecturer in Microbiology at Gujarat Vidyapith (Deemed University), Ahmedadabad in March 2000, where he dedicated himself and Fermentation Biotechnology. Since November 2005, he is working as a Lecturer in the department of Bioinformatics, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. His current research interests are in the areas of Computational Biotechnology and drug designing. He is the recipient of Chemistry Association Award (First Prize) in 1997, DBT-Studentship in 1997-1999 and CSIR-Junior research fellowship in 1999. He has participated in more than 7 conferences at national and international level. Over 16 research papers and articles have been presented by him and on the behalf of his academic advancements he has prepared 2 reading materials and has guided more than 17 postgraduate students in his career so far.
