ABOUT THE AUTHOR Tariq Rahman

Tariq Rahman, PhD, is an acclaimed Pakistani scholar specialising in linguistics. He is currently Professor of Linguistics and South Asian Studies at the Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad, and was Professor at the University of Sana’a, Yemen, and Fulbright research scholar at the University of Texas, USA. Among his many published books, 'A History of Pakistani Literature in English' (Vanguard Books, 1991) remains a landmar.
