ABOUT THE AUTHOR P.S. Kawatra
Dr. P.S. KAWATRA did his B. Sc. and secured first class first in postgraduate degree course in Library & Information Science from Nagpur University in 1969. He also received his M. A. in Sociology from Bhopal University (1972) and M. Lib Sc. from Panjab University (1974). He has been awarded Ph. D. in Library & Information science from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur (1989). He has worked in several responsible positions, such as Librarian, durga Mhagvidyalaya (Post -Graduate College), Raipur; Technical Teacher's Training Institute, Bhopal; Regional College of Education, Bhubaneswar and Ajmer and Reference and Information Offecer, British Council Library, New Delhi. Presently he is Deputy Librarion i the Devision of Library, /documentation and Information, National Council of Educational Research and Training. New Delhi. He is the author of Fundamentals of Documentation (Third Edition)and Bibrary User Studies and the Editor of Comparetive and Intemational Librarianship. Dictionary of Library Science, World Encyclopedia of Library and Iformation Science Education (in three volumes) and The Library and Information Studies Handbook.
