Bal Gangadhar Tilak was born in Ratnagiri on 23 July, 1856. He lived for 64 years. Every year of his life was a milestone of achievements. He was a Sanskrit scholar, famous teacher and social reformer. His slogan "Swaraj is My Birth Right", inspired millions of Indians during struggle for freedom.
