The volume examines various aspects of the Holy Quran and its vision. It comes in an attempt to delineate a Quranic paradigm of the Islamic faith. It explores the intimate connection between the struggle to live the Quran authentically and the moral and other aspects of contemporary life that are a challenge today. It focuses on the Quran in the light of functional-linguistic analysis of scripture, that is, it applies the principles of elementary semantics and Cambridge linguistic analysis to what is seen as a proper understanding of Quranic texts, and in the context of a broad religious existentialism. It throws light on different aspects linked to Islamic history even while presenting various arguments for addressing the situation and needs of contemporary life.
