Madrasa Education in India: Eleventh to Twenty First Century

Azizuddin Husain, is Professor of History at the Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. His works includes Kalimat-I-Taiyibat, a collection of Aurangzeb’s orders (1982), Kalimat-I-Aurangzeb (1983), Tazkiratul Umara of Kewal Ram (1985), Raqaim-I-Karaim, a collection of Aurangzeb’s epistles (1990) and Medieval Towns – A Case study of Amroha and Jalali (1995). Presently he is working on two research projects – ‘Mir Saiyid Ali Hamadani – His Life and Works’, and the Introduction and Development of Unani Mediciine in India during the Medieval Period.
