The book contains scholarly papers on Indo-English poetry, particularly critical papers on noted poets such as Sarojini Naidu, Michael Madhusudan Dutt, Henry Derozio, Shiv K. Kumar, Jayanta Mahapatra, Dwarkanath Kabadi, Kamala Das, Keki N. Daruwalla, R. Parthasarthy, Ahmad Ali, Nissim Ezekiel and R.K. Singh. The papers examine Indian poets and their creations in an Indian perspective and assign them due place in the field of Indo-English literature.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Pramod Kumar Singh
Dr. Pramod Kumar Singh teaches English at. S.P. Jain College, Sasaram, Bihar (Vir Kunwar Singh) University, Ara). He obtained his Ph.D. degree in 1986. He is a post graduate in English, History, Sociology and also a graduate in Law. Dr. Singh has contributed a large number of scholarly paper to literary journals and edits journals The Literary Mirror and Bihar Industrial Journal. He has authored books of criticism: The Novels of R.K. Narayan: A Critical Evaluation, Indian Fiction in English, Major Indo-English Novelists and Novels, Salman Rushdie: a Critical Evaluation, five contemporary Indian Novelists and Khushwant Singh: A Critical Evaluation. His contributions in the field of law are: Supreme Court on Human Rights and social Justice, Legal Language: Legal Writing, Supreme Court on Services Law (In press) and Banking.
