The domain of managing pupil-learning is instructional objective oriented, scientific-leading (to) generalisation of widening scope; intuitive–leading to an insight into subtler depths, deductive–leading to rigorous form and inventive–leading to ideal element and creation of new realm. ‘The Managing Pupil-Learning in Mathematics’ assists a teacher to apply the principle of management of learning by instruction objectives to mathematics; and further it enables objectives to be related to the decisions that teachers and pupils make in learning environment. If further guides teacher to make correct decisions, and develop the professionalism of teaching and equips the pupil trainee to appraise constantly and accurately the effectiveness of their own methods, methods of development, skills of teaching mathematics. The book as the product the result of extensive practical experience and rigorous ‘pupil-trainee-testing’. It covers the aspects of the job of a mathematics teacher as ‘how to formulate instructional objectives’, ‘what learning experience is necessary’, and ‘how instructional effects and nurturant effects can be injected to pupils.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Bijaykrishna Jana

Dr. Bijaykrishna Jana is currently at the Tagore Govt. Collage of Education, Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Island, born in 1948 in West Bengal. He is an eminent scholar. He received his M.Sc. (Maths), M.Ed, (First Class) MHR, MADE (appearing), M.Phil (Edn; First Class: Maths), Ph.D. (Edn.), D.Litt, (Submitted), B.Sc (Distinction), BA, Bed. (PG) (1st Class), Specialisation in Mental Retardation from various Indian Universities and Organisation. His Memberships include. The United Writers Association, Madras, American Biographical Institute Inc. Institute of Technology and Management System, Research Association’s Board. He works as a guide for M.Phil (Education) and Ph.D. The author worked as a coordinator to the relief camp., GDMS (Primary , Middle Point, Port Blair. He is currently engaged on Network Analysis in various Educational programmes and Post-mortem Analyses students’ performances.
