Nayan Barua at present a Reader in the P.G. Department of Commers, Gauhati University, started his career as a Lecturer in Commerce of Gauhati Commerce college, Guwahati in 1978. He has been in teaching and research in the University since 1988. He also completed his L.L.B. and Ph.D. in 1983 and 1992 respectively. He has published two books to his credit beside 30 research papers in variour books and journals of national and international repute. He has also successfully guided three of his research scholars in obtaining Ph.D. degree.
