Mashi and Other Stories

Mashi and Other Stories (1918) is a collection of fourteen stories translated by various authors.It also contains one of his most famous stories, The Postmaster, translated by Debendranath Mitter. It was one of Tagore’s stories filmed by Satyajit Ray. All the stories have been trtanslated by eminent authors like W W Pearson (Mashi), Prabhat Kumar Mukhopadyay (The Skeleton, The Riddle Solved and (The Trust Property), Jadunath Sarkar (The Supreme Night), Keshub Chandra Mukhopadhyay ( Raja and Rani and The River Stairs), Anath Nath Mitra (The Elder Sister) and E P Thompson (The Castaway).
