He holds design patents and received awards for NRDC and industrial exhibition society for his significant contribution in deign of fibre extractor.

Dr. V.M. Mayande, principal Scientists (Farm Machinery and Power), Working at CRIDA, Hyderabad has a doctorate degree in Agricultural Engineering with specialization in Farm Machinery and Power from Indian Institute of technology, Kharagpur and M.Tech (Process and Food Engineerig) from G.B. Pant university of Agriculture ad Technology, Patnagar. He has served at International crops research Institute for Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) as Engineer (farm Power and Equipment) and the Bhartiya Agro Industries Foundation (BAIF) as Assistant Agricultural Engineer. His major research interests are dryland mechanization and natural resources management. He is recipient of several awards including prestigious Rafi Ahmed Award of ICAR for outstanding contribution in engineering and technology. he has 125 publications and 2 design patents to his credit.

Dr. Y.S. Ramakrishna, Director, CRIDA, Hyderabad has a doctorate degree in agricultural meteorology. Earlier he worked as project Coordinator of All India Coordinated Research Project on Agro-meteorologyu. He is recipient of ICAR Gold medal and several publications in national and international journals. He has visited several countries during his professional career and immensely contributed in the field of agro-meteorology and dryland agriculture. He is actively involved in pioneering public-private partnerships in development and transfer of dryland technologies.
