This book identifies all the essential skills that are believed to be fundamental to the practice of mental health nursing. These skills can be used with different patients and service users and transferred, like a toolkit, between the many settings and services with which mental health nurses today are involved. This book is organized chapter-wise according to the revised syllabus prescribed by the Nursing Council of India. The focus is on developing the student's ability to use the skills in the practice environment. Some background perspective to each skill is provided, followed by an easily understandable text flow in a lucid and comprehensible manner. Examples demonstrating how the skills can be applied across the diversity found in modern mental health care nursing are also included.
