Sandeep Silas born and brought up amidst the soothing environs of Agra, kept on imbibing and nurturing a love for all that was poetic. Like dew drops falling on skin, he absorbed the beauty of life, which was spread around in abundance. Years of silent experiences, of the different hues of life, sometimes happy or sad, serious or naughty, some sensuous, but all intense, and definitely celebrating life as it came, culminated in an urge to write. Being part of the Indian bureaucracy did not put fetters to his wings of poetry. As a Chevening Scholar he studied at Manchester Business School in 2002 and went to see the Dove Cottage in Grasmere, Lake District, the home of William Wordsworth – a pilgrimage to him. He joined a group of poetry enthusiasts in New Delhi and is a founder member of The Poetry Club of India. Morrow’s Face is his first collection of poems. The pursuit continues.
