ABOUT THE AUTHOR Chaman Lal Kaushal
CL. Kaushal God is not the object of perception. The Absolute in the transcendental realm is beyond conceptualisation in terms of gender. God is commonly referred to as Father with the male pronoun 'He'. Why not God be addressed as Mother too with female pronoun 'She'? Our rishi-s expressed God by using the neuter pronoun 'That'. The Reality, in my opinion, ought to be 'SHe' as 'SHe' includes 'He' and thus the two together constitute the neutral brahman, the Absolute, the One without a second. Calling God as Mother is not at all meant to show any distinction of sex in Divinity. It is just a matter of devotees' faith and preference. Mother seems to be the most intimate and informal mundane relationship. Hence I worship and pray the Supreme Being as Mother Divine. The basic urge to pen this Treatise is twofold: one, the satisfaction of my own soul, to dispel the darkness and to probe into the inner depths of the mind in search of Truth; two, to carry the message of the preceptors which revolutionised my outlook towards the world and life, to those who may be eagerly aspiring for spiritual knowledge. The approach is purely of a seeker and not that of a teacher or a preacher. The core of my faith has been that there exists an intangible Power, the Supreme Ruler, whose nature is grace, love and compassion and that life's fulfilment is the realisation of that eternal Presence. The essence: bridle your passions, curb the desires for gratification of selfish ends, abstain from the base thoughts, display forgiveness, exercise charity and realise the Presence. The enlightened souls have strongly recommended the book both for the novice and the serious aspirants since it will help them in their pursuits of spiritual wisdom.
