This book aims to investigate into the reforms paradigms, carried out in the economies of Latin America (Brazil, Chile and Mexico), Asia (Bangladesh and China) and the economy of India, with special reference to the state of Assam. It identifies the macro-economic and socio-political components which have led to evoke development responses to the neoliberal reform measures, both at the international and national levels.
Examining the thrust areas of economic reforms at national and state levels in India, it probes how the development paradigms have responded to the reform measures in Assam’s economy.
