ABOUT THE AUTHOR Hem Chandra Joshi
Born on the 31st July, 1925 in Allahabad, Utrtar Pradesh, Dr. Joshi obtained B.A. M.A. (SKT.) Sahityacharya and Ph.D. from Lucknow University and studies Sahitya, Nyaya and Mmamsa from reputed scholars. During his teaching career he rendered his services as Lecturer, Reader, Professor and head of the Department at Yuvaradutt College, Lakhimpur Khiri, St. Andrew’s College, Gorakhpur, and Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur. He was deputed as ‘Columbo Plan Professor’ at Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu for about two years and ws also selected as ‘Shastra Chudamani’ Scholar at Gorakhpur University. He has presented and published many research articles in All India Oriental Conference held at different places in India. He is the Founder member and life-member of Akhil Bhartiya Sanskrit Parishad, Lucknow. He has guided over twently eight Research scholars for Ph.D. Degree. In addition to this, prof. Joshi’s deep association and commnding mastery over the India classical Music in note worthy. Dr. Joshi’s creative writing and life long service to Sanskrit, earned him the prestigious award’ Presedent’s certificate Honour’, in 1999.
