Organised Crime

Among the diversified forms of crime Organized Crime possess new threats and challenges to Law Enforcement Officials. In recent times it has assumed frightening propositions in all metropolitan cities. The seriousness of the organized crime in Indian situation lacks a comprehensive empirical knowledge base. As such our knowledge is based on the western sources of knowledge and hence in the Indian context there is a devoid of inadequate understanding of its peculiar characteristics with reference to its structure, organization, modus operandi, motivating factors, master mind agents and allies. Regrettably there has been little done and vast undone in terms of research on organized crime.
