This book traces the development of the Traditions of Ancient Eastern painting upto 800 A.D. Our aim is to study the classical introduction of the subject including a general studies on Indian pre-historic paintings intended for the under-graduate students of painting, who are interested in the development of Indian culture from the earliest beginnings to the damen of history. This book further deals with the Ajanta Cave paintings in detail, the technique of wall paintings is the chief characteristics of Ajanta Cave paintings.
