Vande Mataram was India’s war cry, when she fought against the mighty British Empire for her independence. It so much aroused the want for liberty that it became synonymous of the freedom movement. The saga of this brave song is not only remarkable but also absorbingly interesting.

He never was a writer for 40 years wrote only prescriptions for his patients yet become one, at the ripe age of 65 years. It was sort of a miracle, made possible by the inspiration from Vande Mataram.
