The author examines the job-satisfaction mechanism among the employees in public sector and how the personnel management within it can be revamped for contributing to improvement of its performance. She has suggested the reorganisation of the structure of staffing through sound recruitment training, promotion and lateral entry system at higher levels. Good employer-employee relations of the Public Sector undertakings to be strengthened for a better repeat between the management and employees. Political intervention in todays functioning of all the undertaking should immediately be discouraged and stopped.
