Pharmaceutical Pharmacology is organized into four major comprehensive Parts viz. A B C and D which comprise in all seventy eight separate chapters. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Ashutosh Kar

Professor Kar has a commendable track record in academic institutions of high repute in Nigeria, India, Libya and Ethiopia for more than 23 years. He has been actively engaged in teaching, research, administration and service to his profession. He has since published more than fifty research papers and guided several P.G./Ph.D., students in Nigeria, India and Ethiopia. He has creditably bagged the University Gold Medal in B.Pharm. and M.Pharm. Examinations, and Ph.D., from the University of Saugar, Sagar (India). He is the Life Member of a number of national professional bodies, such as: APTI, ISTE and IPGA. Besides the present text, he has completed four other fast selling text-books-Medicinal Chemistry, 3rd Edn., 2005; Pharmacognosy and Pharmaco-biotechnology 2003; Advanced Practical Medicinal Chemistry 2004; and Phaarmaceutical Biotechnology 2005-all published by New Age International (P) Limited, Publishers (New Delhi), meant for B.Pharm. and M. Pharm. students in Indian Universities and abroad. Professor Kar's ten-year exposure in Public Limited Companies (India) as: General Manager (R&D); Production Manager (Food); and Research and Development Officer has inculcated in him a substantial in-built stimulus in setting up of sophisticated academic and research laboratories both in African Continent and in top-notch Indian Universities.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR S C Mehta

Dr. S C Mehta, Ph.D., is a professor in Department of Pharmacology, G.R. Medical College, India. He has a teaching experience of over three decades and has been an examiner for undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D. students of Pharmacy in different universities. He has authored many research papers and guided several Ph.D. students. His research interests are mainly in areas of indigenous drugs, synthetic drugs, cardiovascular and psychopharmacology.
