ABOUT THE AUTHOR Renuka Desai

Renuka Desai, the author of this book, has been working as an assistant professor of botany since 1995.  Born at Hyderabad, the capital of Andhra Pradesh, in 1965, Dr. (Mrs.) Renuka Desai acquired her MSc, and PhD. Degree in botany.  After working in various capacities, she was appointed as lecturer in botany in 1990.  She has 20 years of research experience and 12 years of teaching experience of both undergraduate and postgraduate classes.  Her research interests are focused on physiology, anatomy, taxonomy, reproductive biology, biodiversity and conservation of endangered species.
