Faith has been the greatest inspiration for poets and musicians. It has encouraged the simplest of mortals to reach out and experience the divine, and then share it in the form of music and verse with all humanity. Tukaram, Tyagaraja and Narsinh Mehta belonged to different parts of India Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat. Yet, their devotion found expression through the same medium of hymns and poems. Their lives, struggles and most of all their songs, have paved the way for all those who would embark on the path to spiritual enlightenment.
