ABOUT THE AUTHOR Krishna Mohan Mathur
Dr. Krishna Mohan Mathur is a renowned police officer who served police organisation for 34 years and wrote more than 15 books on various subjects. After a brillianat academic career including a Masters Degreee in Economics (Ist Dev.)from DAV College, Kanpur, he served as a Lecturer in Economices for 4 years at Dayanand Vedic College, Orai (U.P.) and taught B.A. and M.A. classes. He joined the Central Reserve Police Forces in 1963 and was recipient of the Ford Foundation Fellowship in 1971 for studying training techniques used in USA and Japan. He obtained his Ph.D. from Rajasthan University for his Research work on "Administration of Police Training in India". He has served in various capacities as DIG and IG in 18 states of India has vast administrative and operational experience of supervising anti-terrorist and anti-insurgency operations in the North Eastern States of Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura, Assam, later J.K. and Punjab. He was later Director (IGP)of the Internal Security Academy, Mount Abut and he retired on 31-07-1997. He is presently settled at Ajmer. He is author of 15 books and qualified reserach guide for MBA, MBE and Ph.D. He is a counsellor for MBA, Indira Gandhi Open National University. He is an authority on national security, human rights and police and is a well-known writer.
