Political History of India: Sixth Century B.C. to 1526 A.D.

The aim of this book is to present a comprehensive history of India in a single volume to cater to the need of the students, teachers and the general readers. The book covers a vast period cutting across the traditional division of Indian history into ancient, medieval and modern periods. Many universities of India have started giving two papers on Indian history instead of three i.e., the first one from sixth century B.C. up to 1526 A.D. and the second one from 1526 A.D. to 1947 A.D. Hence keeping that in mind, the book has been written. As a matter of fact except only one chapter on Indus Valley Civilization the book contains a complete history of India from earliest times up to 1526 A.D.  The book provides almost complete information on many important aspects of Indian history like the religious movements and the foreign invasions. Although there is no reference or footnote yet the information provided is authentic and based on latest research. The book will not only serve the requirements of the students of undergraduate to post-graduate classes but also the candidates appearing at different competitive examinations and for general knowledge as well. The chapterisation has been done keeping in mind the syllabus of different universities and autonomous colleges.  The book gives a lucid reading of Indian history of the common readers.
