The world body of United Nations is giving special attention to the development of women. Many world wide conferences have been held under the aegis of UN to consider the ways and means of empowerment of women. Main emphasis of all these conferences has been the rehabilitation of women, economically, politically and culturally women’s educational development and economic security are two main themes. The world body has been successful in persuading state government to take suitable measures in this direction.
