This title, "Psycho-Feminism" is a historical and Conceptual analysis of the women psyche compiled in two volumes. First volume deals with feminist opposition of mainstream psychology, a discipline deeply implicated in the patriarchal control of women. All reputed feminist psychologists have challenged the operation of male power in psychology which ignores diversity, typically considering 'women' as a unitary category. The second volume describes gender anxiety and feminine morality. It has also emphasized on the post-feminist psycho-analytical theory, media interventions and film theory. Despite the disagreements among five different feminist traditions, all of them have enabled feminists to make important interventions in the mainstream psychology.
