In the present digital age, language is an important medium of communication in private and public relations. A slight change of sound or spellings can disrupt the entire applecart of communication and may lead to discomfiture and misunderstanding. Due to historical reasons, English has become a global language spoken in around 120 countries in the world as first language or second language. The speakers of the English as second language come across many difficulties since it is not their mother tongue. There are many confusing and difficult words in English which make the speaker commit mistakes. In order to avoid these mistakes, the author made a thorough examination of English dictionaries and complied the present dictionary for the benefit of teachers and learners of English language. The dictionary is divided into two parts, Part-I consists of words which are almost similar in their pronunciation though the meanings of the words are different, Part-II consists of words which are same in pronunciation and spellings but give a different meaning when used in different contexts. This dictionary contains words which are commonly used but at the same time are confusing even to the learned in English.
