Rasaratna Samuchchaya is one of the important texts of Rasashastra, which is acclaimed as the best compiled work. In fact, the first eleven chapters are important as far as the pharmacopoeia of mineral drugs are concerned.
The contents of these chapters are extremely important for the students as well as scholars, in view of the systematic and scientific explanation of the minerals and metals as well as their therapeutical utility.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR A.D. Satpute
Dr. Ashok D. Satpute is in the field of Rasashastra since 23 years and has been teaching this subject to U.G. and P.G. students. He has obtained his MD (Ay) degree from Bangalore University and did P.G. diploma in English from University of Mysore. Presently, he is working as Professor and Head of the Department of Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana in Govt. Ayurveda Medical College, Mysore, Karnataka. He has translated ‘Rasendrasara Samgraha’ in English with lucid commentary which has been published recently. He has also to his credit many other books.Dr. Satpute is member of various academic bodies in the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka.
