The book deals with the recent trends in Indian banking system. There is plethora of institutions set up to broaden the banking sector in India, especially after the first nationalization of commercial banks in 1969. Specialised institutions, namely, RRBs, NABARD, EXIM bank, Development banks and Investment banks are contributing in various ways to the banking sector. Economic reforms and financial sector reforms have also brought major changes in the banking sector in our country. The book provides in-depth analysis and description of recent trends in Indian banking which is useful for policy makers, administrators, academicians and general readers of the subject.

C.M. Choudary B.A. Hons. (Eco.), M.A. (Eco.), M.Com., M.Phil., P.G.D.C.L.L., Ph.D. has served the JNV University, Jodhpur, College Education. Govt. of Rajasthan and the University of Rajasthan. Jaipur, for More than three decades. Seven : Candidates including three foreigners have done their Ph.D. under his supervision.He has authored several books in economics, commerce and management. He has participated in more than fifteen national and international conferences/seminars and presented papers. He has more than 80 articles/papers to his credit published in national and international journals. Currently he is engaged in teaching and publication and is associated with JECRC Business School and Institute of Rural Development, Jaipur.
