Regional Security and regional cooperation have become increasingly important in international relations. Much is said of global interdependence but regional interdependence of the economic, environmental, political and military kind is equally significant. Regional cooperation is looked upon as pooling of resources to cope with interdependence, to increase the significance of the region and to lessen external dependence.
