Religion and Feminism

Religion and sexual equality are among the rights provided to citizens of all the nations having democratic government. Through religion, people search for transcendent, but religious groups and practices are human phenomena. The humanity of religion means that its practices are fallible  and need continual scrutiny in the light of the important human interest which is the state’s business to protect. Religion is itself among the important human interests, both in itself and because it represents a central exercise of human choice. Therefore, any solution to the Dilemmas created when religion and sex equality clash must be complex, relying on the ability of judiciary and political actors to balance multiple factors with discernment. In the modern context, both–religion and sexual equality–have become delicate issues requiring tactful handling.
