Remote Sensing Applications in Applied Geosciences

Remote sensing (also called earth observation or teledetection) is a technique with which changes to surface manifestations on the earth surface can be observed and the processes concerned can be monitored. The purpose of the book is not to provide a text book or reference handbook on remote sensing capabilities and applications, but to take a broad look on the returns of the technology as well as to explore possibilities for future applications. This book, which focusses on "Remote sensing applications in applied geosciences describes application of this technique to the fields of hydromorphogeology, mineral exploration and geochemistry, hazard zonation, waste management ground water pollution and built environment.
