In this context, the present study highlights in detail regarding the multiplicity of roles, role conflict and problems of working women and its repercussions. The author recommends various important measures to be adopted as a policy within for improving the status of women and empowerment of women. Dr. Abhilasha Shrivastava is presently Lecturer in Sociology at B.S.N.V. P.G. College, Lucknow. She also has remained involved in various research studied at Giri Institute of Development Studies, Lucknow for three years. Her focal areas of research includes fields like labour market, land reform, education, water sanitation etc. Her contribution to National level Seminars/Conferences by way of presenting research papers has been of significant importance. Besides she has published various papers in different reputed journals. Presently she has been working on issues related to women empowerment, problems of women, population etc.
