The continuity and change in ‘Russian Policy Towards Central America’ Has been a subject of global interests and this book is aimed at understanding principles to determine those policies in the past. This has explained traditional “New Thinking†and evolving concept of “New Thinking†and evolving concept of “Near Abroad†for an objective assessment. This has referred to the ideological issues in the past and de-ideolization in the present. The relevance of economic diplomacy under Vladimir Putin towards Central America has also been examined, and shifting focus on cultivating relations with Latin America have been intensively analysed.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Abhay Kant
Abhay Kant, a Lecturer in the Department of Political Science, Indira Gandhi Govt. College, Tezu, Arunachal Pradesh, did his M.Phil./ Ph. D. in International Politics from the Centre for Fussian, Central Asian & East European Studies at School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Earlier he was associated with the Department of Political Science Deshbandhu College, University of Delhi, New Delhi, and also served IGNOU Study Centre as Academic Counsellor at Jesus & Mary College, University of Delhi, New Delhi. As a research fellow, he worked with SDEF-FICCI, New Delhi, on three ILO/FICCI/ Projects of “Child Labour in Indian Industriesâ€, “Women Harassment and Employers Responcesâ€, and “Substance Abuse at Workplace.†He had also worked, for University Grants Commission (UGC) project on “Small States and Indian Federalismâ€, in the Department of Political Science, University of Delhi, New Delhi.
