"This book analyses and exposes SAARC as sub-continental institution, reviewing its goals and objectives, its principles, and further more which it needs to do in order to fulfil its promises. In spite of more than 21 years of formation, SAARC summits have get to reach even half of their goals. The issues of poverty, illiteracy, malnutrition and disease continue to plague this area, and if anything, have only increased with the burgeoning populations of these nations. The tension in the diplomatic ties between the member countries, as in the case of India, have further stated the process of a corporated developmental strategy. In addition, these nations have to deal with their internal domestic issues acting as further deterrents for SAARC to meet its objectives."
